Key Bible Verses, Questions and Quotes:
“Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.” Psalm 32:1 “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out.” Acts 3:19 Why is there a Most Holy Place? Why is there a Day of Atonement? Why the ministry of the High Priest at the end of Jewish year? Can God heal what we try to conceal? “If we say we have no sin, we are fooling ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 1 John 1:8 But of course, the only sins God can forgive are the ones we are willing to admit we have. But I ask you… How can God heal what we deny? How can God touch up what we cover up? How can we have the highest communion with Him while we keep secrets? How can God grant us pardon when we won’t admit our guilt? “He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities.” Isaiah 53:5 “for the prince of this world comes and has nothing in me.” John 14:30 John Bradford, the famous 16th century English preacher, who upon seeing a group of criminals being led to their execution uttered these famous words… “There, but for the grace of God, go I.” Do you appreciate Jesus and what he has done for you? Really?
Jesus does not desire those who have been purchased at such a cost to become the sport of the enemy’s temptations. He does not desire us to be overcome and perish. He who curbed the lions in their den, and walked with His faithful witnesses amid the fiery flames, is just as ready to work in our behalf to subdue every evil in our nature. Today He is standing at the altar of mercy, presenting before God the prayers of those who desire His help. He turns no weeping, contrite one away. Freely will He pardon all who come to Him for forgiveness and restoration. He does not tell to any all that He might reveal, but He bids every trembling soul take courage. Whosoever will, may take hold of God’s strength, and make peace with Him, and He will make peace. MH 90. Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little. Luke 7:47 "If ye love me, keep my commandments."
