Bible Verses, Key Thoughts and Quotes:
Therefore, it was necessary for him to be made in every respect like us, his brothers and sisters, so that he could be our merciful and faithful High Priest before God. Hebrews 2:17 Remember, guilt says you’ve done something bad, shame screams out, you are bad. “He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace (the punishment that brought our peace) was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5 Woman, where are those your accusers? has no man condemned you? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn you: go, and sin no more. John 8:11 “For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” Luke 6:38 “For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” John 3:17 Key Bible Verses, Questions and Quotes:
“Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.” Psalm 32:1 “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out.” Acts 3:19 Why is there a Most Holy Place? Why is there a Day of Atonement? Why the ministry of the High Priest at the end of Jewish year? Can God heal what we try to conceal? “If we say we have no sin, we are fooling ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 1 John 1:8 But of course, the only sins God can forgive are the ones we are willing to admit we have. But I ask you… How can God heal what we deny? How can God touch up what we cover up? How can we have the highest communion with Him while we keep secrets? How can God grant us pardon when we won’t admit our guilt? “He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities.” Isaiah 53:5 “for the prince of this world comes and has nothing in me.” John 14:30 John Bradford, the famous 16th century English preacher, who upon seeing a group of criminals being led to their execution uttered these famous words… “There, but for the grace of God, go I.” Do you appreciate Jesus and what he has done for you? Really?
Jesus does not desire those who have been purchased at such a cost to become the sport of the enemy’s temptations. He does not desire us to be overcome and perish. He who curbed the lions in their den, and walked with His faithful witnesses amid the fiery flames, is just as ready to work in our behalf to subdue every evil in our nature. Today He is standing at the altar of mercy, presenting before God the prayers of those who desire His help. He turns no weeping, contrite one away. Freely will He pardon all who come to Him for forgiveness and restoration. He does not tell to any all that He might reveal, but He bids every trembling soul take courage. Whosoever will, may take hold of God’s strength, and make peace with Him, and He will make peace. MH 90. Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little. Luke 7:47 "If ye love me, keep my commandments." John 14:15 Bible Verses, Key Thoughts and Quotes
Now one of the fundamental purposes in reading and studying the Word of God is to find your story in the Bible story. “You know everything, You know that I love you.” John 21:17 “Very truly I tell you, when you were younger you dressed yourself and went where you wanted; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go." John 21:18 Jesus said this to indicate the kind of death by which Peter would glorify God. John 21:1 So here is the key question to begin this year… “Lord, will I choose to follow You, even if it takes me where I don’t want to go?” “For it is God which works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.” Philippians 2:13 …we will find our highest delight in glorifying Him. Every single person has an influence... we all are influencing others for good or bad, whether we are trying to or not... How did Rosa Parks or Martin Luther King Jr influence others? Are you displaying a Christlike influence?
Powerful sermon to show the dangers of procrastination as a Christian and how we can help those who are in need and lonely.
Listen to this and you will realize true strength comes in weakness...
God will give us the desires of our heart...be careful of what you desire!
Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing. Psalm 145:16 When we admit what we are,is the begenning of redemption. Psalm 78:26> |
